Joseph is in 3rd grade for the 2004-2005 school year. Loretta is his main teacher for the year with supplimental teaching at Summit Christian Academy and Rick with science. He is studying Shurley Grammar, Veritas Press Greek and Roman History, Saxon Math 3, D'Nealian handwriting, Wise Guide Spelling, Bob Jones Science 3, Joshua - Judges in Bible, and Reading (various texts). At the Academy, he will have PE, art, music, Spanish, and drama.

Joseph's Rock Collection Exhibit

Joseph competed in his first science fair this year. He did a collection that of rocks and described on a post and to the judges how rock are formed. He then showed a number of rocks in his collection and described some information about their formation. He received a red ribbon of excellence work.

Here are some limmericks Joseph wrote for school:

There once was a man from Maine
Who had a terrible pain
He went to his bed
And bumped his head
Baked cookies and went insane

There was an old man of Peru
Who dreamed he was eating his shoe
He woke in the night
In a terrible fright
And found it was perfectly true

She is studying Saxon Math 2, Wise Guide Spelling, Wise Guide Phonics, Abeka Reading, Abeka American History, Bob Jones Bible truths, Bob Jones Science 1, and D'Nealian handwriting. At the Academy, she will have PE, art, music, Spanish, and drama.

Here is a limmerick Hannah-Joy wrote for her school assignment:

There once was a man from Utah
Who had a tan dog with one paw
He roared like a lion
Had a mother named Ryan
stole peaches and broke the law.

Phillip as a 2 year old is exploring and learning many new things. He is willing to attempt difficult items he sees his older siblings doing.

Phillip's Artwork - In doing this, he chose the colors and did it all without direction. The only think we helped with was washing the brushes between colors.
