Large Group Time:

1. Review the lesson on Grace from last week

• Key verse - John 1:17
• Key figure - Christ
• Grace is only available from God through Christ
• Grace is the power from God within us to overcome sin and live the life that God has called us to live

2. Review the 5 attributes

• have the students call out all five of the attributes and list them on the board

3. Discuss how squires and pages practiced to become knights

• practice, practice, practice
• serve under a knight
• learn how to use weapons - swords, lance, shield, archery, etc
• learn horsemanship
• learn how to care for equipment including armor, weapons, horses
• learn the art of battle
• learn the code
• take an oath to a king

Small Group Time:

1. How can you train to be a Knight of Grace?

Examples:

• prayer
• reading the Bible
• memorizing scripture
• accountability
• serving (LIT)

• etc...

2. Who are the Biblical characters you associate with each of the attributes?
