Ingredients:
- 1 cup quinoa
- 1.5 cup water
- pinch of salt
- spray oil
Instructions:
- Rinse quinoa under cold running water until the water runs clear.
- Spray the Instant Pot liner with cooking oil and add the rinsed quinoa (still damp), water and salt
- Lock the lid and set the steam valve to its “sealing” position. Set on high pressure for 1 minute. Release button after 10 minutes.

Ratio = 1 part quinoa : 1 \xBD parts water
Cook Time = 3 minutes
Release = 10 minute natural release, then release any remaining pressure
While cooking, quinoa expands by about 3 times. So, 1 cup of dry will yield about 3 cups of cooked quinoa. 1/2 cup of dry will yield 1 1/2 cups cooked etc. If you need a certain amount of cooked quinoa for a recipe, divide that number by 3 and that's approximately how much dry quinoa you will want to cook.
For 2.25 cups of cooked quinoa use 3/4 cup dry to 3/4 cup water and .375 cup water.
